One of our last jobs in 2016 was this pre-christmas carpet cleaning job we undertook in Shirley, Southampton. We were super impressed with the amount of Christmas decorations and the festive atmosphere of this job, and it was good to work hard to reduce the mince pie impact on our waistline!

The lady and gentleman had their family visiting for Christmas Day and wanted to spruce up the large lounge carpet and downstairs carpets. They live in close proximity to Southampton Docks and the main Millbrook Dual Carriageway so the carpets have been exposed to quite a bit of dust and particulates. The house is also terraced and over 130 years old with large voids under wooden floorboards that allows drafts and dirt to gather, especially around the carpet edges.

The carpet was a high quality carpet, but a number of years old. It had suffered a stretch/kink due to a cable running under and you can see this in the before and after pictures. There were quite a number of spot stains that included everything from red wine to the grandchildren’s blackcurrant juice.

Truck Mount Carpet Cleaning and Spot Stain Targeting

The next stage of our carpet cleaning process is to treat and tackle any individual stains. We have some videos of this work on our facebook page – www.facebook.com/wowcarpetcleaningUK – The general process for us when treating stains is to identify the likely cause and then to choose the correct specialist cleaning product to tackle the stain. We target individual stains with our specialist fluids and professional agitation to ensure the chemical reactions take place to extract the stain. As a final step we then use our truck-mount system to fully clean and remove the stain and any remaining residues.

This unique machine runs on RO (Reverse Osmosis) Water, this is a type of water that is very pure and is crucially a soft water source, as opposed to the hard tap water that many Hampshire residents get. Study Room Walkway Carpet Clean

We’ve also got a few pictures from the clean we undertook in the study room walkway. An area of particular attention was the carpet edge where the floorboard drafts caused some pretty serious dirt accumulation and build up. As you can see from the pictures we were really able to thoroughly and professionally clean this high trafficked piece of carpeting!
